Eagle One cast mag wheel cleaner. Be carefull the stuff has a healthy concentration of acid. Spray it on, quickly rub it in with a scotchbrite pad, and hose it off. The aluminum will look like new !

You can soda blast the motor and it'll look brand new. There's a post some where on the site by b.d.I.or Stewart showing their set up with before and after pics. Works great and u don't have to use any harsh chemicals. It's real easy. Ill see if I can find the post and put up a link.

and to keep it looking new   wash it after every ride with a pressure washer. ive kept my kx motor so clean this year you can even eat off it. well kinda..

yes it can be a pain in the @$$ to clean it every minute but it does make it easier to perform work on the bike with out getting parts dirty that shouldnt get dirty. and plus its appealing to have a clean bike   :-o

Well I'm on my phone trying to put up a link showing how the soda blasting works and how to make a cheap setup but I can't figure out how to do it right. Maybe tuck or some one will get on that actually knows what their doing and put it up for us. The link is in a post by Utah rider under cleaning cases in demographics reply.

I bought a mothers powerball mini, and mothers aluminum polish. It made the engine look great! I'll work on getting some pics and post them.

I know this is a REALLY old thread, but thought I'd chime in.   :-D

I like to use tire foam also.  Spray it on, let it foam up, and use green pads and tooth brushes for the hard to reach places.  The hoses really look nice after you are done, also.

Then, a nice coating of WD40, and it stays looking pretty nice.
