Check out Bubba. Can you believe this kid? Who thinks he'll be able to beat RC next year? The guy is amazing. Just when you thought RC is awesome, this kid comes along. It'll be a worth watching the outdoors next season.

He is sick and not right! I've had the pleasure of watching his talent and hope to catch him again at Washougal, WA. He is great with the fans and an asset to the sport. Next year will be interesting-if not a learning experience for him in the 250CC class both in Supercross and Outdoors.

I just hope he's not a Ricky and leaves Kawasaki,he say's he's a 2-stroke man,but I wonder if he'll ride the 250 or 450?

After what he did to RonRon after the Vegas SX, I lost a lot of respect for "Bubba".  Snubbing him like that was just not right.  I got to meet him in Vegas and he came across as real arrogant. I'll be the first to admit:  He's fast!  Faster than everybody else.  I mean, really fast.  His laptimes are ahead of what the 250 guys are doing and if he can control a 250 like he does the 125, he is going to smoke RC, KDub, Reed, everybody else that gets on the track.  I would love to Roncada give him some more trouble this season but from what I can tell, RonRon shot his wad in Vegas and Hangtown and just isn't the guy to give Stewart trouble.  Maybe HotSauce will step up.

Anyway, I love to see green machines winning regardless of who is riding them.  I hear Bubba is staying Green.

Former FIM 125 GP champ and defending 125 Outdoor National champion will take a break from motocross, focus on racing super moto at X Games and AMA Series for KTM

(July 7, 2004) ? Because of a wrist injury that is not healing properly due to the rigors of motocross, defending AMA motocross champion and former FIM GP motocross champion, Grant Langston, has decided to take a break from motocross and supercross in order to pursue a super moto career along with longtime sponsor, KTM.


?KTM USA and KTM Europe have enjoyed an extended mutually beneficial relationship with Grant Langston and his company, Langston Racing,? according to KTM USA. ?During this time Grant has provided KTM with it's first FIM 125cc World Motocross Championship, first AMA 125cc National Motocross Championship, first AMA Supermoto Championship and first AMA 125cc Supercross Championship Event win.?


After several months of consulting with medical specialists, it has become clear to Langston that he needs an extended time away from the pounding of professional motocross/supercross racing to allow a serious case of Carpel-Tunnel Syndrome to properly heal. Physicians have repeatedly said that if Langston does not take this time off and let this injury heal, then the problem could in the future have a negative impact on his professional career. With Langston?s current injury preventing him from competing at the highest level of the sport of motocross, officials at KTM have stated that they do not wish to have him compete in the remainder of this season's events risking further injury to himself just for the sake of having him on the starting line.


So with the above facts in mind, it is in Langston?s and KTM's mutual professional best interest to redefine the South African?s relationship with KTM for the balance of his career as follows:


* KTM will release Grant from his current obligations of racing & testing for the remainder of the 2004 AMA National Motocross Series under his existing MX/SX contract.


* Langston will focus his professional time on forming a new professional super moto team under the Langston Racing business umbrella and begin training for the upcoming ESPN X-Games and the 2004 AMA Professional Super Moto Series.


* KTM will be furnishing Grant two full factory Super Motard motorcycles and full additional equipment/parts support to compete the balance of 2004 as a professional competitor in the upcoming ESPN X-Games as well as the 2004 AMA Super Moto Series.


Said Langston: ?I would like to thank KTM for the great support and equipment over the past five years and also for their understanding of my current injury. The doctors have assured me that with sometime away from the pounding that a rider's wrist takes in supercross and motocross, I should be able to return at a 100% for the 2005 SX season opener at Anaheim. I've also been told because of the little stress that super moto puts on a rider's wrists that racing these events will not be a problem for me to ride in and will not impede my healing process. I can't even begin to express how excited I am about the opportunity to compete this summer in my first X-Games and I hope to be able to be able to provide KTM with their first Gold Medal in the X-Games and defend my AMA Super Moto championship this fall. I also want to thank my other sponsors, Parts Unlimited, Thor, Alpinestars, M2R & Scott USA for being supportive during my recovery from my injury.?

Can't agree with the thoughts Roncada, as I thought Bubba should have parked him in a corner.  It seemed rather clear that Roncada didn't have the speed to hang with Bubba, so resorted to some pretty serious agreesive riding to try and be a player.  It's one thing to ride aggressively if you have the speed to dice, but when you're an also ran like Roncada, it's just not called for.  

If you are a racer, you know what it's like to catch someone who is obviously much slower, only to find that the slower rider would rather crash you both than allow a much faster rider around.  I have to admit, I have parked a few folks in corners in the past when they just wouldn't race clean.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Roncada (or anyone else) should have just rolled over, but it seemed pretty obvious that he was trying to crash Bubba just to keep position.  Simply not called for...

Well I was dissapointed in Bubba at hangtown,Roncada passed him more than a few times and could stay out front,but Bubba passed him back under a yellow flag when Roncada slowed down and rolled the jumps.Made me wonder if he wasnt getting desperate him self!

Snuh??  I was watched the Vegas SX live and on my computer a few times.  Never saw this.  I also re-watched Hangtown (Video capture/tuner video cards are cool), and didn't see it there either.  Maybe I am just missing something.

Made me wonder if he wasnt getting desperate him self!
