Check these fiber clutch plates out

       Well I ordered 8 OEM fiber clutch plates a while back and they came with the barnett steel plates and I set them aside and never looked at them until now when I'm going into the side of the bike to actually put the new parts in so can anyone see a problem besides the fact there are only 7 of them?

These 4 look ok



These 3 look used and one is a different plate all together so I'm short 1 plate and 1 is for another machine and they look used or am I mistaken?



The 3 on the right look like they rusted or something or were used I'm not sure but the top one on the right is for another machine I'm sure of that.

and those are genuine kawasaki parts? maybe they messed up the order

       They are supposed to be OEM fiber plates but something went terribly wrong from being 1 short to 1 being for another machine to 3 looking used I should have opened them up and looked at them when they arrived but they were sealed in plastic except the 3 messed up ones were stapled shut the others were sealed but they were rubber banded together in plastic so I just threw them on my gun table oops.

Not sure why you ended up with 7 ? Did one get misplaced ? You definately need 8 fibre drive plates and 7 steel driven plates . I also noticed Kawasaki has superceeded the original fibre plate # severall times, so maybe you have a mixture of the original, and the newer p/n ? This possibly explains why you have 2 different facing configurations on the drive plates. Did you save the parts bags ? What are the # on the bags ?

The clutch plates in my YZ450 are weird as well. The 1st fibre plate that goes against the inner hub is a different p/n than the other 8

       They are all 13088-1114 but when I dug into the rubber bands holding them all together 3 of the bags were stapled shut and 4 of them were sealed shut and they were all in their own sealed bags the other 4 so the 3 that were stapled shut look used or much darker and have like an oil around the edges of the metal and inside the bags had an oil in them while the other 4 that look new did not have that oil in them and were sealed but the 3 used ones were stapled shut and they only sent me 7 of them when my order says 8 and their schematic says it takes 8 of them too.

       No way I misplaced one of them they were all banded together with 3 heavy rubberbands and I put them on my gun table where nobody dares go near so it was just missing and I should have checked them like I ususally check everything right away but I grew to trust the vendor a little too much.

         Now this is what the fiber plates should look like they came in 3 days from order and were in stock at motosport $96 delivered to my door I like that.

Be very carefull tightening the pressure plate spring bolts. They are designed to "bottom out" . So make sure you make them just tight enough, those 6mm bolts are easily snapped from people cranking down too tight on them...

I have a built in torque wrench in my right wrist. When the arthritis in my wrist causes my bones to pop while torquing a bolt, that's 8ft/lb .

I know YOU know the difference Polar, But reading these two statements quickly may cause a problem...
 
 And I can relate to the Arthritis, sorry to hear another member has the scourge...
