not sure where the "Pete King Trail" section of the Idaho ride is... but I want to avoid things like that...   not wide enough for bike with bags...

how much of the trail is as narrow (with tree's) as the beginning of this?

That would be a ROUGH time with a bike with a set of hard bags on  it.. (like both that are going on the ride)

Ultimatly Id like to stick to mild ATV roads, and SUV roads

Perhapse there is a "Girl Scouts Tour of Idaho"?

Stuff like this should be avoided. LOL

Stuff like this should be strived for.

Hey nothing to be ashamed of on the very long ride you've chosen,,,you are right about avoiding trouble,,,I've read RR of guys starting at the Idaho border and not making it passed Challis. It is defiantly a small bike route in the begining,,,but hitting 80% gets the job done. I believe I can save you a lot of time and grief,,,but still see the good stuff. Come back with your K5 or one of your many other bikes,,, trailered or back of pickup and we'll find some goat trails.

I've not ridden Pete King it is North of Elk City and I hope to hang in to Canada with you and back to Island Park/West Jellystone area.

No shame at all... Most guys are afraid to try as much of the Tour of idaho as Im going to do... let alone Tack it onto the back of a 6,000 mile dirt ride.

We are now going... INTO canada... not sure if I have mentioned that..

still up in the air how far....   talk of "top of the world"...   but, not sure.

Single track is tough. There is plenty of good dirt road to get you there. This part shouldn't be missed in my opinion. d**n fat finger typing on phone.

Yea.. but when your Job Forman asks you to tickle them......   or loads their pants full while your trying to work...

All my bikes are like that... even if they are going to ride 10,000 miles..   things like shift levers etc, get run across the buffer before they get put back on the bike...   Just the way I am..   (sick in the head)

You should start collecting names and numbers in case you need a part quick or welding or just a place to stay along the way.
