yeah the 4 strokes are way louder!! when i was at the track, one of the quads almost deafened me!
 a loud 4 stroke is unpleasant but a loud 2 stroke is AWESOME

         Yeah I think the 4 strokes sound like dog crap smells blaaaa blaaaa blaaa compared to braaap braaap the 2 strokes will be king again no matter what the tree huggers and high priced 4 strokes say.


        The gentleman that had the bike before me cut the rear fender wrong or too thin but he gave me a new fender with the bike so I threw it on tonight.

Sorry about the mess but we sold off everything in the city to buy the 51.5 acres and this trailer in the country and this is the front room we are putting a new modular up soon just haven't found the right one and if I keep buying dirtbike crap we will have to settle for a single wide lol. I must be going through a midlife crisis with this bike.

Thanks kaw it's just about the way I want it and it's street legal I can't wait to get the new rubber on it all of my knobs are severely rounded off from street riding which is what the previous owner mostly used it for hardpack trails and street driving.

The new tire is wider and has 1.3" tall knobs it's soft to intermediate should hook good kenda K778 130-80-19

LOL thanks 89kaw I was trying to let the bike warm up before getting on it so the wife started filming with her ipad way too early but I went quite a ways down the road trying to make sure it was nice and warm before getting into it. I don't want to mess with the engine yet that is winter project with suspension being next in line so I always warm the engine up before twisting her up.


I don't know if you guys know this but a 03-07 KX250 front fender fits the front of the K5 the holes are an exact match all you have to do is drill the holes out with a 3/8 bit and then the metal grometts will fit back in the holes but the holes were dead on if you like the looks of the newer fenders.


The video is before packing the silencer with the bristol core packing it is quieter now with a nice deep sound..

This is my first attempt at installing a graphics kit and I am surprised that it came out perfect I was prepared to kick the wife and beat the dog if it pissed me off.

Many more parts coming including my one off better than the TM designs whip holder and when you guys see what my welder did it is quite impressive I will have my adjustment marks still intact and it's going to come out from the bike 1" so my fender won't take a beating my whip is 5/16 and I used the long TM designs quick disconnect holder to keep it nice and stiff like whip viagra.

I still have the MSR chain slider and new hardware coming along with SG10 boots new axle and castle nut, new chain adjusters new chain and sprockets and a whole bunch more stuff on order I'll post as it comes in or is installed.

What method did you use to install your graphics ? Wet or dry ? Do you know about the " hot soapy water" method ? Its WAY easier but the graphics need to dry overnight.

           I used the dry method and got my experience by watching a few youtube vids showing the best way to do it.

           The shrouds were very tough because of how many fingers it had coming out that were real thin so that was the worst part of the job.

           I watched a vid of the wet method but didn't have the guts to go for it but it did look a lot easier because this wasn't very easy to be honest but it came out way better than I ever thought it would.

          I got away with only 1 tiny bubble which I popped with a pin and smoothed it out can't even see it but next time I will try the wet method it just didn't seem like it would work and for $60 I didn't want to take a chance on ruining them

Just a before and after of the bike and it's not done yet I have suspension first then new wheels and hubs and brembo caliper with stainless lines front and back after that so you get a picture of what I'm going for.
