kx500 84 gears

can anybody tell me  if you can fit 84/85 shafts and gears in to a 89 crank cases  i have a set of spare of cases to build a engine trying to get all parts on ebay thanks Brian

According to the book no, but I do not know what the real world differences are.
However, there are some sharpies on here that do  :lol:
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

It's been a while but if I remember right the spline count was different and gear ratios were different as well. I think 87 and 88 shafts may work but a couple of the gears were different. I think it was 1st and 3rd gear were different ratios.
It's hard to keep a drivers license riding a 2 stroke dirt bike on the street.  If you drive within the law they are VERY boring.
