I Hate Those peanuts thats why I shipped them BACK!

The carb was sent separately but I'll remember that.   We also need to get on the BREAK IN procedure
Tabbed in that Clymer.

This is an excellent video of what's going on in your carb. watch the fuel needle and slide.

Update: I opened the carb with Tuck on the phone guiding me through it and we put the needle clip on the top (1st slot). Then it was still doing the same thing so I gotthe bike running and I kept revving it and I turned the idle switch alot clockwise and it stayed on but still has a little problems in the beginning of throttle. So thats for tomorrow!

Ding Ding Ding!!  That's right Bob!  Fuel level checked before all that :-D
  Well at the Re-build site...

  Now the translation,
After we got the leaking needle jet resolved, (so far so Good) we tried to get the bike to Idle.
CM cannot seem to kick start the bike, However he can bump start it.
After using the throttle to keep the engine running and turning in the idle screw, We are able to keep the bike running.
Apparently there is an off idle stumble.
The last time we looked at the plug (BR8)  it was  "Dark on the tip and wet on the outside" .
        To be continued...

  No Worries!
I'm open to anything, there is no A.S.  on this carb.
Check back for what we come up with tommorrow.  Tuning  :-) should start about 8;am pacific.

I wish I had that "Go to Meeting" software, the one where you can connect several computers
and interact in real time....That would make things Much easier!

   Hey! I got It
              "Motorrad's Online Virtual Speed Shop"
Buy the software to have meetings and $9.95 a month to "hang out"

                         so lets see 9.95  x 1000 = $9950.00  per month  x 12mos. = $119,400.00 per annum :-o
Hey Bro, great talkin' to ya!  I have to see a man about some software!

that would work, but can you do a 3 way conversation?  :?

P.s i must say that CM's bike is MINT , have you replaced plastics or painted the frame?
for a bike that is 11 yrs old it looks like it is brand new off the dealer floor  :-o

Actually, I polished the rims but the spokes have a ton of corrosion. The rear fender is new and the radiator guard is new. The frame needs touch up paint but I cant find kawasaki touch up paint anywhere for cheap and not $40. Tuck and me have been talking and moving the needle clip up and down and we went to 4 but it was better at 3 so its at 3 now. We got it to idle but it has a throttle problem.  Tuck knows the name of it. We think its the pilot jet.

Yes we seem to have run out of tuning options.
I could try manipulate the fuel level, but the right thing to do is get a larger pilot.
We have, from what I gather is a "hanging idle".  that would tell me we need more fuel.
When we drop the clip further (enriching the mix) the bike becomes harder to start, and runs worse...
So I guess if CM can swing it it's time for some brass..I would start with the next size up see how she reacts

I have used these guys before with no problems

My ktm has a similar problem too so both my bikes I think I should just take to a shop or something and get the carbs tuned...Thats all both of them need just a cheap tuneup for the carbs...

bookmarked! was looking for somewhere to buy individual jets. thanks

you should really learn at some point, tuning is weather dependent.... but then again i tend to run my bike all year round

But I dont want to just buy a 6 dollar jet then pay for 8 dollar shipping too for something that might not work...Also when I was sleeping the other day I thought about if someone made clear metal dirt bike casing and special light clear oil, gas, and antifreeze! Just enough so you can see the fluids but still see the crank and everything inside! Just givin some ideas!
