2011 KX250 Build
« on: March 07, 2011, 03:24:12 PM »
The new 2011 04KX250 Kawagasi / Gasasaki  LOL! Bet you never seen a red kawie MXer. I love the new 2011 Gas Gas 300's but couldn't bring myself to buy one, so I made my own version. I love this bike!!!!  :-D Right now the wheels are out getting anodized so I'll post up the completed package in a few weeks. With all the goodies, probably have around 11K into it.

Your bike looks really good! I got a chance to ride a 11 Gas Gas EC250 for a few hours in jan. I liked it alot! It reminded me of my 04 KX250. Power was great and the handling was similar to my KX.
A couple of 03 and 04 KXs, a few YZs, 3 PE 400s, a DR and a TS.

Did you see where Christini is making a two wheel drive bike from the Gas Gas 300 for the 2012 model yr? http://www.christini.com/news.php?ID=134&s=news&off=0  Pretty cool! One of the guys I ride with now and then just got the 300. Can't wait to meet up with him and mooch a ride on it. LOL! I rode an older 300 about 2-3yrs ago and your right, it was very close in manors to my 04KX. I'm about to begin the process of building another 04KX250, this time with the 310 engine kit. I would also like to do the 05-07 KX250 with K5 motor project for dual sport events.

Im starting a Eric Gore KX290 project next week! Im using a 03 KX250. Just waiting on some parts from the dealership. Im also doing a 04 KX250/500 conversion. The 04 chassis that Im using is titled and tagged. I am going to use it for enduros and also dualsports. Hopefully Ill get it done by late spring or summer. Post up your 310 build! I did see the Gas Gas powered Christini. My friends machine shop does some of the machine work for them.

Sweet bike man!!
I too have been thinking about powder coating my 2007KX250 frame red, but am leaning more toward the anodized finish w/ matching hubs, engine covers, bars and hand guards. but w/ polished subframe,& swingarm.
Black hard ano fork, shock, & calipers

That is one beautiful machine. I reality like the hand guards and the pipe guards. Where did you get them?

The hand guards are Acerbis Multiconcept pro, the mounts are http://www.bikebonz.com/images/sitebdy/purbdy/hon_hgm/of_hon.htm  The Pipe Guard is E-Line/ Moose Racing.
