rebuilding my KX500 ?93
« on: February 18, 2011, 10:15:31 AM »
I bought my KX500 ?93 model in spring 2008 . And i have been buying things bit by bit.

It looked like this when i bought it.

This is in spring 2009 , yamaha big wheel 350 on the side.

Summer 2010 .

Now i have taken it apart yet again and i?m going to have it powder-coated the frame, sub-frame , rear suspension and a few of the smaller pieces.
If anyone has any fresh ideas it is very welcomed  :-D

well its not all that fresh of an idea but.....Lose that Jai Lai  thrower of a rear fender and do the kx250 fender mod...really modernizes the bike IMO

It's looking good.
Did you replace the forks or was it done before you bought it?
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

i dont really like modern looks on older bikes because its plainly just not the same as it was supposed to be.
as i like to say = i like to be old school

The forks are WP that came of a KTM.
I have also always liked the old school look but i?m thinking about converting to the 2004 look , white side panels and black tank and a silver frame. Or just allt black and a silver frame.
