« on: January 05, 2011, 09:18:58 AM »
Thank you all guys for all the info i found here will help me alot with my conversion. Its a k5 donor engine on a 450 frame. Soon i will start a new thread and hope with fotos as well. What do you think is the best combination of sprockets front and rear? On my other bikes i used to had 13-48 but this is not for tracks. I am about to buy now the sprockets and i need your help. I am going to ride it everywere in and out of the track.       Thanks

I ride desert so the stock gearing works pretty good for me. Still plenty of low end grunt for some steep rocky hills and if I need to cruise 90+ she'll do it! 14/47

I will start with 14/47 just because i need to cruise a few khm to get to the mountain, cause at the moment i don't have a trailer.
After that i will try different combination. I have already ordered gold chain from DID and a Supersprox stealth rear sprocket.

Thank you for answering

I'am in the same boat as you mate. I'am about to finish off my kx500af and was wondering what size sprockets to run. I'am mainly going to be trail riding. Dont think I'll tempt disaster by riding such a weapon on a mx track.
