I think you can plug the serial number into the Kaw website and rec'v information.  Maybe only the VIN.  While in the heck can't the dealer help.  What info are you looking for?

The title to my bike says it is a 1994. But  the vin # and engine serial # both have E1. E1 should not be 1994? The vin # matches the title vin #.The buykawasaki.com website lets you check vin #'s, and mine comes back as a 1994 E6??? I am usually pretty anal about stuff concerning my bike and this is one of them.

Maybe something describing how to read the engine serial # would be helpful.
Thanks

The tenth digit in the VIN # is the year, I believe 1994 should have R as the tenth digit. If it is a 1994 itshould look somthing like this JKAKXVE1-RA010001. The digit where the - is will be different with each bike as will the last 5 digits> 1994 10001 and then # goes up on each bike. The higher the last 5 digit the later in the year it was built.  This site is excellent keep up the quality.

Sportland.  I got the info I needed from them but that is the only thing that they have been good for.  I usually go to Decatur for my stuff.
