Stock 2-piston front brake enough??
« on: February 04, 2010, 04:18:34 PM »
I'm in the middle of my sumo conversion on a 2001 K5 and I have to ask:
I've got a 320mm EBC rotor upgrade and was wondering if the the stock 2 piston caliper would be ok with good pads and steel-braided lines. I'm in Canada so it'll be a while before I can test it out for myself. Thoughts??

i have the stock caliper with exact set up u mention except i have a braking rotor. it does awesome on the street with no fade at all. for a race bike you might want to upgrade, for a street bike it should be plenty.

If you are running a full 17" SM wheel package on a track you will likely smoke the fluid in the 2piston, unless you are slooowww.
