It was already done and I think that is what they did do. They did however manage to cause a few more problems... all fixed now.

So..

Lots of riders here.

Anyone have any thoughts on the pictures (link) in the first post?
In all my years of street riding, I think they are the best I've ever seen.
After reading the story and looking at the photos, I felt like I had been THERE on the ride.
What did you think?

I saw a few lines and some body positions that I think could use some improving......however the scenery, and the thought of riding with my friends through the twisties always makes me  :-D......I have many similar riding areas here in southern california.  My back yard is highway 2 in the Angeles National Forrest which statisics have proven it to be mile for mile the most dangerous road in america.  I try to stick more to trial riding and track days on my R1 rather than ride in the canyons anymore.  Its not me I'm worried about........its the other squid rider who just bought a liter bike coming at me the oppisite way and slamming into me head on that worries me.

I'm envious of you guys.  Looking at some of the pictures of the land ya'll ride on is awesome.   I live in the New Orleans area.   The only hills around here are Interstate overpasses.
Marsh and swamp.   I'm a Flatlander!

Lately, my wife and I have done little adventure riding.. In 2007 and 2008 we were riding everywhere doing all kinds of sight-seein'.. We rode most of the Blue Ridge mountains and were riding to the coast all the time. I've lost track of time and now have none to spare.

I loved those pictures. I love Yosemite. We were there in Sept of '08 but did not rent a bike, just a convertable car.. :( The hiking and scienery there is awesome.

That thread over on ADV must be getting some hammer, I've seen a link to it before and the pics are stunning.
The bloke who lived down the road from me when I was a kid climbed quite a few of the mountains in Yosemite amongst his other exploits, I've never even been to the place but would love to someday.

Let me throw this out and would like some input.  I know there are so many variables that can't be accounted for, but I will ask the question anyhooo.  Given a stock 600 sport bike (kawi, honda, yam, suz) about how many miles can one expect it to last?  Given proper oil changes, maintenance, and "street ridden" only?  Thank you.
If some is good, and more is better, then too much is JUST RIGHT!  B.O.
