Think a sweet 140/80x18 IRC M5B tire will fit my '02 K5...?? Or a 130/80...? Weird sizes....

I usually run 120/100 Dunlop 139 AT's but might try the fatboy....

Thanks

140/80 = 120/100 and the M5B is one nice rock paddle

I think Paul is on the money$, but make sure you have heavy duty tubes and at least 14psi as the M5B has very soft side-walls.

True, If you're looking for a rock paddle that will last get the 120/80X18 Maxxis MaxxCross I/T. Heavy sidewalls, the type you can run 10 psi in and not worry at all

Great...thanks for the info. I've had a flat M5B before and they do just turn to mush. Think I'll try the Maxxis.

I've gotta throw in my .02 here.

Kenda 120/90-19...an absolute MEAT HOOK! $45(or so) + $10 shipping...Cha Ching! Chaparral and Rocky Mt (?) should both have 'em. Huge Tire that slings enough crap to allow you to get even with ANYONE! I've even run one at Pismo when I didn't (STILL DON'T!) have a Paddle :P

I gave the 19" size because that's what I've been running in the Rocks of Shasta Dam and French Gulch...Nasty Tire Killin' Terrain that you guys have gotta ride to believe. Ask Mike Smith...No B.S....nasty tire killlllin' terrain!

Also, the IRC VE "32" (The 32 is real important here) is a phenomenal front tire. It's like the old Metzelers in the 80s with the Square knobbies. It just flat-out works EVERYWHERE and Lasts! It gets ya home when flat, also! $32 + Shipping!

Now, why can't you get a good Dunlop "Set" for $100? Hmmmmm?

Hey, I love Dunlops Desert stuff; However, I'm gonna have a chat with Frank Stacy at Kenda, 'cause they've got a heck of a tire that seems capable of Desert Race use. I'll know pretty soon. I'm keeping "Test Notes" on the lap top. I'll keep ya all informed!

Seem's like I read another post that stated IRC had an excellent all around tire the wore like iron.  Anyone remember what model that was?  I did search and didn't see it. :?:

Chaparral add in current mags says otherwise AND that's what I payed. Go check a magazine. Also, remind them about the NEW $6 shipping (Versus $10 of old...).

We're (My '04 Team-mate, Bob Zades) runnig this set up on a Very Healthy Braasch Spec./Pro-Circuit 250...Cha-Ching!

BTW, how many 250s can spin a 120/90-19 like a 500? Hmmmmm?
