help anyone?
« on: October 19, 2009, 02:58:32 PM »
I just got a 2001 Rm 125, not a kawi but i couldnt find one for the price.
I just rebuilt the top end and noticed on the left side of the head theres a hole, by the exahast port. If i fire it up exahast will come out of it and one time it acted like it back fired. Is this supposed to happen? or did something fall out? and body know, help would be appreciated! I know quite a bit, but not anything like this. Ive never seen it before.

Kx,
You will be able to save yourself a lot of trouble if you can get a service manual.
There may be a free download out there somewhere, the cheapest one I found was here at $6.95

http://www.shopmanualdownloads.com/rip/results.php?style=Motocross&make=Suzuki

This appears to be a Clymer and not a Suzuki factory manual but better than nothing.
(not an endorsement, just an inexpensive one)
There may also be another member here with, or had one that might be able to help.
I've gotten several off e-bay relatively cheap, I did go to a few parts supply sites and snooped around but did not find a clear piccy of the cyl. There is  a pretty good shot of the exhaust valve.
(This may help if you recognize something missing)
http://www.motosport.com/dirtbike/oem.php?make=SUZUKI&type=DIRT&model=RM125&year=2001&groupId=68381&modelyearid=1342
If this link worked it should have taken you too motosport.com    Follow the links in the oem parts tab for your '01 RM 125 and you can pull up all the parts schematics and pn# & prices.

I apologize if you already have all this kind of info,
