95 kx500 s/m Monster conversion
« on: April 27, 2009, 02:26:34 AM »
Ok i picked up a 95 kx500 in ok shape. It is plated so that is the big reason i snagged it. I drove 6 hours to toleto ohio from roch NY. Any how, I cleaned up the porting ,installed a window mod piston, adjusted kips. Now it is running well I am going to convert it to a Monster S/M bike for the street. I have been collecting black plastic and street leagl stuff. Still working on the supermoto part. Still waiting on the tank and radiator shrouds.

Still waiting on the radiator shrouds.
Tough to come by.  You might have to settle with green ones...  If you do find some black ones, let me know!!!  She's gonna look great when she's done though. :-D

I have the black tank and shrouds on the way. The only one that makes the side panels in black is mayers.  I got them from chaparral motorsports. it does not help I ordered the front fender wrong 2 times and the rear fender was a front also. So now i have a stock ufo black front fender and a acerbis red front fender I will not use lol. I finally got the black acerbis evo fender I wanted.

GRRRRRRRRR stupid swing arm bearings. I messed them up trying to press them in and had to order a new set.
I am going to mic the rear wheel bearings in the new rims and order a set with a 20mm center so i can use my stock axle.

What size rear tire is that.  It's huge.
