what tool do you use to remove retainer clip on bottom of shock to remove shock spring?

You should be able to take all of the pre load out of the spring with the collars and have plenty of room to remove them.

i loosen the preload collars at the top so spring is loose but to slip shock spring off bottom there is a "C" retainer clip on bottom you have to somehow spread apart and remvoe to allow shock spring to be removed from bottom

The clip doesn't get spread. You push the rubber bumper down the shaft an inch and the clip slips over the shock shaft by hand. You must take the preload all the way off. Cam.

i had a long day
i figured it out about 5minutes after i posted this. drove all day then i changed my shock spring, added the hydraulic clutch, and top end wasnt thinking straight by end of the day. almost got bike restored thou.
