im sure the sprocket seal can be removed and pressed in from the outside, just a matter of taking the sprocket off and prising the seal  out then push new one into place, sure somebody will confirm that.

on my bike i had to change the seal, the collar, and there was an o-ring behing the collar.... the collar is what the seal rides on and if it is wore out the new seal wont work for ya!

I have found that some aftermarket sprockets are not as thick as Kawasaki sprockets. If this is the case there will not be enough pressure on the "O" ring to seal. The gear oil will go between the collar and shaft through the splines and out in to the ozone. Almost every engine that I have taken apart has had silicone sealed between the shaft and collar. The ones that have had silicone had no signs of leakage.

it happened to me last ride-spewing oil out the countershaft-i musta put too much oil in the tranny :-( -so change your seal -but be careful and dont put in too much fluid-especially if you rev the hell out of your motor!!      ZO13

were they talking about using a different type of oring? maybe a bigger one would work better?
