Thanks for all the positive feedback.  We are looking to possibly have some conversion kits available by early spring (April, May).

man i was just on the DDR web site and what do i see. a new topic titled
(fat paddle kx500
conversion kit)
looks like a cut and paste from this post even the same user name?

i had an idea to do something like this not to long ago but my buddy Brian told me it was stupid and i didn't take it to far after that. IMO the worst part about dunning a bike is the way they want to go in the sand and not on the sand. floatation is key in the sand and it looks like this fat paddle has answered that. my idea was to use a supermoto set up like you have on the front but then have a supermoto fatty rear slick cupped (like a 170/55-17). i was looking at 125/??-?? for the front. how dose the front handle? with my skinny mx front in the soft the sand just swallows it. and with the fattest 19 inch paddle on the back the bike goes down to the swing arm before it goes forward. you have incouraged me to revisit my idea of a supersandmoto

I'm running a 16" 120 tire (5"wide) and it handles awesome. Great flotation with aggressive cornering. With the big paddle in the rear you better be hanging on when launching cause this thing  hooks hard. This is a roadrace bike for the sand.

We have been pretty much blown away by the responce from the internet and the first show we took the bike to. We are working over time on fabricating kits. We are projecting possibly end of March for the K5. We will put a list together of what exactly the kit consists of and the projected price and let you know sometime this week.

we have seen just over 100 hp at the crank and stewart is working on some new mods. check the vids on youtube under . k5abuser  and wolbrinkrace. we built the motor that set 3 world records at bonnevile slat flats. top speed was 132.4 MPH thats was a stock motor in the modified class with aero front fender

Do you think the tire on the 450 works better being on the rim backwords? I'm not trying to be a smart ass, I was just wondering. I'm a farm boy from way back and I know tractors don't do as well when the tires are flipped.  :|
