shock rebuilds
« on: October 28, 2008, 05:06:17 AM »
So I've decided to resurrect the old '89 5 hunnert.  The suspension needs redone.  I'm going to go inverted forks for the front.  (YES, I'LL SELL THE TRIPLE CLAMP.)

As for the rear shock.  Do I just replace the spring?  The bearings have been replaced already.  Is there anything internal that could need attention?

Yep there are plenty of items in side the shock that could need attention. First would be shock fluid, next would be the piston bushing, seals, shims stack (tend to fatigue over years of use)
