on  a kx500 for harescrambles how much wieght and how to install any help thanks

I run their 16 oz.
Call them they will have all the answers.
Comes with the tool for install (still on the weight.)

all that was offered for me was a 14oz weigh for the k5  was your 16oz. special ordered?

Depends on the year. 1986-89 is a 16 oz. and 1990 on is a 14 oz.
