In 71' I was 15 and my Dad bought me a brand new Yamaha RT-2 MX (360)...I didn't buy a 125 mx'er until I turned 28....When you start out on a big bore nothing else will do...km

1977 honda xr75 very relaible and had to be with all the inexperienced kids riding this.  i used to get a running start at small hills in first gear and left it there since i liked how it sounded.  never did blow it up.  my dad then told me it had more than 1 gear.

moved up to a 1978 kdx125 then 1979 rm125 then 1982 kx250 then onto kx500's.  maybe as i get older i will go in reverse direction one bike size  at a time and end up back with an xr75 (or whatever its called now) :-D

At 15 I saved up all my money and got a Suzuki RM80, it lasted about 1 week before it got stolen.  Still gutted.
20 years on and I now sell Yamaha stuff (not bikes) but ride a KX250.

'86 kx500.  A friend told me it would be perfect for me.  It almost killed me a few times, but he was right.

I started out on a xl175, and what a pile of junk.  I think I was twelve at the time, but soon after I moved to a xr100.  Then to a xr200 and now a kx500.

1969 Honda Z50. What fun that motorcycle was. My dad had to make me quit riding it so much. He said I was burning too much gas, it was about 25 cents a gallon then. Imagine how he squealed about gas when he bought me my RM400!

My first ride was an ATC70, bike was an XR75.  I know they were Hondas, but I've wised up and moved onto Kawasakis.

First ride was a Honda XR 80, about a 1980 model, I was 9 or 10 when my dad brought it home.  We had a little ford courier pickup with a big camper on it.  He told me to go and get the groceries out of the back of it and when I opened the door I almost pooed myself!  Rock solid like all xr's.  We just put gas in it and rode the whiz out of it.  Rode it almost everyday for a few years.  All my cousins and me learned to ride on it.  Greatest time of my life, almost brings tears to my eyes.  I had a big goofy open faced helmet that was painted with the stars and flag colors, (you know the one) we got a tinted drop down face shield for it that was even goofier but I thought I was the man.
