kx250 tank and seat, kx85 rear fender
« on: October 15, 2007, 02:13:52 PM »
Hey guys, after riding my friend's yz250, i want my kx to be a little more slim and tossable feeling, and i think a newer model kx250 gastank and seat would do the trick...has anyone swapped it before, and is it easy? What's involved in it? Make the bike more tossable feeling?

Another thing, has anyone put a kx85 rear fender on a 500? Another short rear fender?

Thanks!

I like the shortened fender look, gives the swingarm an extra long look to it, looks cool IMO  8-)

I read that the '89 250 tank will fit. I'm pretty sure all of the models since then have a perimeter frame with the "plug in" type tank. Here is a chop of kx 85 rear fender.  :-D

That's pretty cool, thanks!

Now, does anybody know if it actually bolts up? I would experiment but my funds are sort of limited.

The 89 KX250 gas tank bolts on.
