Tire question ASAP
« on: October 12, 2007, 02:42:48 AM »
I need help today.  Please.  I need to order my tires today so I can receive them and install them by the 17th next Wed.  I had a 3.50x17 rim installed on my extra hub.  Will a  150/70B17 fit in my stock swing arm without rubbing the chain?  I know the tire will fit the rim but will I have swing arm fitting problems?
Thanks,
Danger4u2

I just grabbed a 150/60ZR17 off the tire pile and was able to shove it inside the swing arm on my 2001 kx500.

It was the tire only, no rim or wheel, but it still nestled right in.

I should also mention that the right side has already been trimmed to clear the chain on my supermoto bike.

Not sure if this helps.....

what happens to the chain when you space out the rear sprocket 4mm.....doesn't that twist/bend the chain?
