First KX500
« on: June 26, 2007, 02:05:28 PM »
Well, I finally chased down my dream.  I found this 2000 KX500 in the state of Washington on Cycletrader.com and bought it based on digital pictures and conversations with the owner.  I had it shipped to me in Pennsylvania (3,000+ miles) via HaulBikes.com.  Paid $2,500 and another $570 to ship it...  Worth every penny!!

Does that bike even have 1 hour of riding on it? Next, take it out and beat the tar out of it, new bikes like that.

Congrats!  My 2001, that I picked up three weeks ago, was also "mint".  Where are you located in PA?  I'm in the foothills of the Pocono's.

Thanks a lot for the positive feedback, Fellas.  I'm pretty pumped about the acquisition.

fullbore55, I'm in Skippack, PA, which is near King of Prussia.  My father lives in Hazleton so I get up that way a lot.  We should hook up and do some riding.  I've been searching for a good place to ride.  dangormont@yahoo.com

Let me know when you guys want to hook up for a Saturday of riding.  I have miles of abandoned strip mines and plenty of trails both technical and open.  You can unload at my property and have access to at least 100 miles of riding.  Shoot me an email fullbore55@hotmail.com.

MD & FB55,

I've ridden in Nesq about 4 years ago. I had a Husqvarna then. Real nice trails around there , but I felt I needed a tour guide.

Man, fullbore, your 500 is MINT!!  I'll shoot you an email with some dates.  Thanks for the invitation!

5d, what's your email address?  If you don't want to post it, shoot me (dangormont@yahoo.com) one and copy FB55 (fullbore55@hotmail.com).

No problem on the tour guide!  The trails are sometimes confusing and easy to get lost!  MD, Thanks for the email with dates-5d shoot me an email with weekend dates you're available and we'll all try to hook-up...
