I think my K5 can out run anything with the proper rider (not me, I'm not a good drag racer).  I did some drag racing weekend before last and no one out ran me.  One guy came close on a big bore KTM 4 stroke.  We were in the sand at the river, after the first race we lined up again and before we took off he asked what size bike I was on.  I told him it was a 125 right before the flag dropped.  I smoked him bad.  When we lined up again he said his bike was not running as good as it should and we should run them on dirt.  We did and it was worse for him.  He asked if I wanted to come to his camp to have a beer.  After popping the beers he said "I think it's a valve problem, I think I'll tear it down tonight.  I told him not to do that.  My bike isn't a 125 it's a KX500.  He thought his KTM turned into a P.O.S. because he was getting beat by a 125.

That guy must have a few of those beers before the drag race if he believed you when you told him it was 125.  :-D  :-D

Hey,
Some riders you meet are not too bright.  After I did a rebuild on my 92 and it was shiny with some new plastic a guy actually asked me if it was a brand new bike (I had mentioned I was breaking it in - which I was).  The bike was 14 years old - It was hard not to laugh out loud!! Cam.
