If ya'll didn't see my reply to my for sale ad, I'm considering parting out my KX450F. So if ya'll are wanting the chasis for a KX500 motor let me know. The bike is located in Temecula, California.

I'll take the first $3,000 for the roller which is the whole bike minus the engine, harness and pipe. I checked the price of all those parts new on bike bandit and the frame and forks alone will cost about $3,000. So who ever places $3,000 bills in my hand will be on their way to a nice bike. :-D

That is a smokin good deal. I would buy that in a hurry if I didn't have mine already. Anyone could make that a 500af for another $1000 (if you already have an engine).

I don't know if I mentioned it but the suspension was done by ENZO so it's better than stock. It was revalved and set up for all types of riding. It's like landing on a cloud. How about some pic's there hangtime.

That looks evil .....From the pic's it looks like the only thing needing a mod is the front down tube section. You could make some money with that down tube!

I'd jump on it right away, but I'm still weighing my options with pros and cons of this, as I race every weekend, my main racing is hare scrambles and I do motos on the off-weekends of my hare scrambles series.   I'm just nervous to jump into something thats sort of unchartered territory as far as set-up and all of that goes, I don't want to take any steps back as far as racing and I don't have an unlimited budget to jump on another bike if somethings fishy with the 500af.  I'm still thinking about it though!

What's up fella's? No one wants my roller for a project bike? Or is the $3,000 too much for all those parts? What have you guys that already did this project pay for the roller?

Yup, still a smokin good deal, I paid 3500 with no suspension work and a hole in the gas tank.

Wicked fast, the shift lever goes into what appears to be a fourth and fifth gear. I cannot imagine what these are for. Riding up here a Zaca Station MX track the jumps are a little closer to the turn exit, so I was a little concerned at first with getting the beast straightened out before the jump in second gear. Then, I discovered I could simply shift into third and torque my way up the face of the jump, easy to control RPMs, lots of traction, up and over to the downside. The pipe seems to be working very nicely, but I don't have another to compare it to. I have the Enzo suspension too, you're right it is like clouds. I have always been more of a square off the turn and clutch it rider (cr250), but this new torque curve is changing my game. I think this motor might be a 3stroke
