2000 KX5 piston question
« on: November 11, 2006, 02:20:47 AM »
I`m throwing a new piston into my bike, a 2000 KX5, and I am curious about the lack of a port cut into the piston on the intake side. Does the stock piston have it? The wiseco I have doesn`t have it, neither does the one that`s in the bike. Seems that most every bike I`ve seem apart for the last 20 yrs has that port and I recall seeing a pic somewhere on this site of a piston that had it. Can someone edumacate me on this?

Thanks

Thanks, that`s what I was looking for. I did notice ALL those holes in the cylinder. No more holes needed. :-D Definitely a cool looking design in there and definitely a bummer they quit making these things. Every ride makes ya like the bike more.
