« on: February 22, 2006, 06:55:43 AM »
Should I buy this crank or not? :|
My friend Mike Melde(supermoto) have this crank in Germany.
It?s a pro crank for Bernt Eckenbach, a former World Motocross driver for Kawasaki KX500 1998. 8-)
It?s make a huge different for the engine :-D
My wife?s gonna be crazy for sure

yes by all means.tell everyone why its worth a butt kicking.without seeing rod,it looks like its been plugged for tighter squeeze in crankcase and possible a little more torque down low.just guessing.

Guys here is my explain!

This crank don?t vibes at all in any range between 500-8500rpm.
It have changed balance factor, not only trued! 8-)

You know vibes eat horsepower and kill engine. :-P

You can?t outbalance a single cylinder engine, only put vibes somewhere it
pass very fast or for not so long period. :x

Stock balance factor is set for 5000 rpm ,for most of us never rev past that
rpm or for a very short time ,when you do MX.

This crank is heavier at opposite place were rod is located, because of tungsten is in that holes, not iron.
This crank vibes between 0-500 rpm or 8500 rpm and above.
So you can win 1500 rpm here and a lot of power without vibration!

Still worth it? :|

Your going to need the same piston, rings, pin and rod that your crank was balance for.
js,I bought it 2006 and it?s awesome(reduce engine braking and maintain more overrev),but your`e right about piston, rings and pin!

I think they used a oem crank and modified it...Bernt E were also very satisfied with this crank special made for his riding stile.
