Ahhhh, cool.

I have a few links to stuff like that but as they are not really my articles I wasn't sure where to put them.
Do I just bung them into the tech articles bit :?

For twisting up the 2 strands of locking wire, I get a length  twice as long as I need, then double it into even lengths. Clamp one end in the vice and screw the other end into the hand drill chuck and pull the trigger. Be carefull not to over do it, as the article says. It is easily stressed! Just a quick and easy way to do it if you havent got the fancy wire twist pliers. I use locking wire on heaps of bits on me bikes. Even the sump bung. On the road bike I wrap a hose clamp around the oil filter and lock wire that to engine. Better to be safe than sorry. And most road race scrutineers require these bits to be locked.   :mrgreen:

Oh and for anyone thats short of lockwire some time...

Stainless steel MIG welding wire works just fine, I use the 0.8mm stuff.

As it's supplied it is what is described as "half hard" so when it's twisted tends to snap.
Just chuck it on the fire till it glows red, pul it out and allow to cool slowly and that softens it nicely.
