Hey Ken.
There is really a lot to your question.
If it fits and the chain does not come off, then yes, you can run it.
The real question is, should you run it?
I would start by putting the bike on a stand, then site down the chain from the back of the bike.
Is the chain straight?
Put the bike in neutral and spin the rear wheel.
Does the chain ride in the center of the sprocket or is it offset?
If it is offset you can adjust by shortening or lengthening one or both of the axle spacers.
When you back the rear axle nut off, how much gap is between the swingarm and the axle spacers?
Total gap is somewhere around 1/16".
Again that can be adjusted.
Too tight and it is a nightmare to get your rear wheel on.
Too loose and you are putting the swingarm in compression and can cause the welds to pop under stress.
There may be other issues as well but those are the ones that come to mind.
