KX125 2005 / Kx250f 2009 wedding?
« on: March 27, 2017, 10:34:19 AM »
I could get a cheap kx125 big bore from 2005 and I got a kx250f Frame from 2009

I ask myself if the kx125 Suspension could fit in this Frame, Forks, Clamp, Swingarm, Rear Shock?

If not with other husks or bearings maybe?

Can i get drawings with measurements about fixpoints and bearing seats somewhere?

An the great Question is makes it sense to put this older suspension in a newer Frame?
English is not my main Language. Sorry for the Missunderstandings.

I put 2007 KX 250 two-stroke forks on my 2006 KX450F and they bolted right up.  The steering stems and bearings are the same. The rear shock did not fit, however, and I had to use the KX450F shock.  The 2005 KX 125 has the same forks and shock as the KX 250, so the forks will work, but not the shock. I recommend using the forks and shock from the KX250F and mod them if necessary.  There are so many companies that do an awesome job on suspension these days (Race Tech, Enduro Engineering, Pro Circuit, TBT, etc.) and will make your suspension work amazingly well for your size, skill, and riding style.  Good luck!
