Rear Wheel Spokes replacement
« on: October 31, 2016, 01:52:23 PM »
Hello guys

Just bought a 2004 KX 125 for my son. The rear wheel has 6-7 broken spokes.
I noticed that the front wheel has been replaced for sure because it has an Excel Rim, i am not sure about the rear wheel if it's stock or not.
It looks like the bike had few upgrades.
My question is can i put any brand of spokes in there or does it need to match with the rim ?

 :?

Thanks for help

Excel rims with good quality stainless steel spokes you can't go wrong 👌 Just make sure you put a bit of antiseize on the threads of the spokes when assembling will save many a head ache later on. Also check spoke tension after every 10 - 15min ride when done as they will work loose until seated correctly.

If your missing that many spokes that sock rim is probably toast. How true is the wheel ?
