Don't think they used Honda parts for any other reason then what would work at the time for the 2008 Kawasaki frame conversion. Sounds as if the Kawasaki cable and tube work just fine?

Yep, its no problem for my build. I just meant that I'm not too surprised that they used Honda parts, seems like they favor them in their builds (that's not a bad thing!). I'm running the stock kx500 throttle with a generic motion pro throttle tube. I did have to use the Lectron specific cable though obviously. Seems like there's a lot of throttle there, shouldn't be a problem at all.

Thanks for the compliments! I had that stator posted on here a while back. I did end up selling it though, won't be running light on this build  :-D

Great build.   I got an 08 frame that I am getting ready to do.  Will be my second AF project.  My 06 is done and sits inside the house.   Will start a new build thread.

Sorry, long overdue update. She's done  :-D. Here's some pictures for your viewing pleasure. I'll post a couple videos of it a little bit later. I'm really, really happy with how it came out. A very special thanks to sandblaster, roostius, and larry for their parts. I did end up going with an oversized acerbis 2.7 gallon tank, but out of necessity. I planned on using the stock tank, but unfortunately, the bolt holes where my plate mounts ended up splitting 3 of the threads due to over torquing the bolts :x. Based on riding it, it's a good thing I did go oversize - it likes to drink, LOL. As I'm sure you all already know, it's got ridiculous power....and I love it! The vibration was cut down significantly, I would compare it to a cr250's vibration.

Looks great!  It really turned out professional looking.  How close were you on your Lectron jetting?

Thanks! I ended up leaning out the power jet quite a bit. I believe I'm at 1.5-2 turns out from all the way closed. I did end up leaning the needle a 1/4 of a turn as well. Runs absolutely perfect, very happy!
