Rekluse Clutch for a KX 125
« on: March 29, 2016, 03:43:58 PM »
I recently added a Rekluse to my 250, and it really made a big difference in how well my bike handles the trails.  My son rode it, and really liked it as well.  He asked if we could add one to his 125.  Rekluse doesn't make a clutch for the KX 125, so I contacted Tom at Enduropilot.com to see if he had any ideas. He did some research, and he thinks the KX 250F model will work.  He offered a sixty day trial to test.  If it works out, I'll post and let you guys know.

On another note, I continue to be impressed with Enduropilot.com. Tom is a really nice guy, and takes very good care of you.

The Revlocs aren't being made any more, and he has limited stock left.  He wanted to try the Rekluse first, because it was a lot cheaper and you can get parts to rebuild them once they eventually wear out. I was able to get the Rekluse to work, and hope to have a ride report pretty soon.  It's been raining like crazy, but maybe this Sunday I will be able to get out and ride. I'll keep you posted.

I was able to get the Rekluse set up in my son's bike.  It took some adjusting, but it seemed to work really well. The only change I had to make from the instructions is removing one steel and one fiber plate.  This might be an issue on a hotter motor, but he rides pretty cautiously so I don't think slipping will be an issue.
