Needle ?
« on: September 29, 2015, 01:34:35 PM »
So Sir Motorrad had given me some info on my old phone before I broke it so I need a little help. I have a N82R and a N82M needle and wondering which is a leaner needle. Is there a needle chart that I couldn't find? Thanks everyone!!!

Just for giggles, I run the R at 4500 ft with a 55P and 168M.
Clip on the 2nd position.
I've only ran it with those settings one time and seemed ok.
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Thanks Blaster, I'm at about 3000'  60P, 170M. Going to put the N82R back in in center position and go from there. I do have a 58P I might try But one thing at a time

here im at a little over 5200 feet. i was running the r on the second clip position but i have a p that honestly runs cleaner than the r in the second position with the 52 pilot and 168 main. but really between the p and the r you really cant tell a whole lot of difference. maybe in the initial warm upo when i start moving the p seems to cough the phlegm out pretty quick and the r takes a second longer./ seems like it should go the other way but stranger things have happened. i wish i could feel even somewhat confident that i knew how to read those charts that pcmotorsports and companies that resell needles with their re manufactured numbers on em so i could get a few other needles or a replacement when the time should come./
hell ,i,m so broke . if it cost a nickle to take a s**t, id have to puke.....

I normally ride at 0-1000 ft so I'm still experimenting when I ride the high desert.
So far my set up is the best I have tried but I really need to do it right, then go ride....
But when I get there I just want to ride

Well I'm laid off for a week or two and about 5 gallons of VP to mix  so I will fiddle around with it a bit. Still a bit warm for me but I will tough it out.

You should still have my number?

You trying to get rid of the rich spots on your carb?

Ive got some custom cut needles here if you need to try them.  I had them cut for my bike. they are much leaner than stock.

Was that a new carb?   I've chased many k5 that just flat out had a worn out NEEDLE jet. (Tube the needle rides in).   Worn like a football... So it doesn't regulate correctly
