Cold Start

I just kick it through slowly a few times and it works great.

For what it's worth here's my cold start method. 1. Lay bike over until gas runs out the overflow. 2. Put bike in second gear and rock back and fourth to get some fuel in the cylinder. 3. Pull choke up. 4. Get all 240lbs of me in a downward motion on the kick starter. Generally works on the first or second kick.

I believe the most important thing is to get some fuel in the cylinder.

for what its worth mine usualy takes about 6 or 7 kicks to start but I've been trying a few carbs over the past couple of days and yesterday I had a float stick and flood petrol everywhere presumably into the engine as well and when I went to start it it fired up on the very first half hearted kick ! Flooding may be the way to go although I've heard that too much juice in your cases can pop out the flywheel side oil seal as the compression gets critical .

I lean bike over to watch fuel....full choke, a little throttle and top dead center and she fires n the first kick cold almost always......
