Question for some carb guys.
« on: October 07, 2014, 01:48:24 PM »
First i wanna apologize for jacking someones photo but my question is the ball thats right below the spigot serves what purpose? Is it serviceable? Also how is it held in? Ive got a small leak from around mine. I know its not the same carb but it is the same type of ball plug.

Cheers guys and thanks

Looks like Sandblasters photo.

That's a simple brass plug which blocks the opening to a (drilled) port to the fuel bowl.

Back in the 70's we used drill a hole and pull them with a screw. Solder the hole and reset em. The heat from soldering expanded the

brass. I spose a little jb weld would work too.
Where the Hell is "Easy Street" ?

How is it in there? Is it pressed in? It is a ball isn't it? Does it serve any other purpose?
