Cant find kick start shaft

I have a 2000 kawasaki kx 250 and i need a new kick start shaft but cant find one from the year 2000, what years will fix my bike??? And how hard to change? Thank you

Thanks for the help but looking for something second hand,havnt got the money at the moment to buy new. Just wondering what year bikes would fit my  2000. I can only find really new stuff or really old nothig in the middle.

the '99, '00, '01 all share the same part# of 13066-1099...'02 it changed to #13066-1107.

Sandblaster or Doldguy should know if the different part#'s are interchangeable.

Can ot be from a 125 or does it have to be from a 250?

Must be from a 250 using the part number above.

I know for a fact that 98-01 will work.
So, you may be able to go back as far as 96 but I'd stick to 98-01 to be safe unless someone has tried it.
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

I want to know if the 98 Kick shaft fits in the 01 Kx 250.

Yes, 98-01 has been verified to interchange as a assembly.
They are getting expensive... Approx 100 USD and going up...
