So, for the end of April, some friends and I hope to soon be new friends are going to embark on a type of adventure I have yet to do. A 10ish day adventure/dual sport/enduro/whatever we can get away with ride in the Death Valley area. They have been doing it for the last 4 years and I will finally be able to join them this time around. One thing that had been plaguing me is how to carry all my camping gear, food, parts, extra fuel, water and things of that nature. I have seen little trailers that run you about $1000 and that was a little out of my range. So, I decided to make one, cheap and beefy. But, it had to be light enough not to be too bulky. Moto-mule looked too light-duty for what I want, even though it is chromoly. Trail-Tail looked a little too clunky for the price. So, here are a few pics of what I have started and hope to be mostly done with tomorrow. Using a parts I has laying around.
18" KLX 450 wheel assy
Used Bridgstone tire and 4 mill tube
kx 125 swingarm, shock, and linkage
and sadly, a 2000 kx250 frame I just powdercoated, but I have another one.
and link to the rest of the library I started.
Stay tuned, if you want
