Different then 'FAST!'?
Could not sleep last night thinking about the 'What if's" on the inspection so bagged it today. Loaded and ready to go up in the morning though.
80 miles in rush hour traffic. Can't wait!
Found the DOT amber and red stickers at NAPA and re-verified no need for DOT brake lines, though I did find the DOT markings on my rear line. Not going to strip the front line cover to try and find it there.
Checked 'max' readings from the under spark plug head temp yesterday and it shows 189'. May rethink using the Trail Tech Vapor for temp. The numbers are tiny though there are the 'high' and 'danger' lights. Considering modifying a pipe for an EGT also. Would probably pick up another stock one and then do a swap after 'bunging' it. Mine has a dent in one of the curves and it is probably time to replace the exhaust seal anyway.
Have read mixed reviews on using my exhaust analyzer (FAST) for mixture so not sure if I want to sacrifice a wide band sensor to try it.
Not really interested in modifying the KX5 much performance wise. Fast enough (for now...) and runs good. My experience is any time you start modifying they get finicky and harder to tune. Used to enjoy the challenge but not so much anymore. Easy is good!
