'07 250 aftermarket crank assembly. Does it exist?
« on: April 02, 2014, 11:08:04 AM »
Do I have to buy a factory crank assembly or does somebody make an aftermarket?  I can find them for '05, which I thought was basically the same.  What am I missing here?  Can I use one for an '05?

stay away from Hot Rod cranks!...unless you plan on splittin the cases a couple times a year to replace them.
I know a couple guys that only got a half dozen races out of em.

I prefer stock cranks...others prefer different brands.
Rocky Mountain ATV says it has one OEM 07 250 crank in stock for $329.61....Part# 13031-0050.
Excuse me, ma'am...but you've got extremely nice legs!!!...what time do they open???                                                                                                               https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8tCgN3aryQ

05 crank is not the same. The difference is how the primary gear is mounted. You would have to switch to the 05 clutch basket and probably the 05 idler gear. Go with oem. Ive heard too many horror stories about aftermarket cranks.

Blasting down the trails on your bike is priceless... Who cares about money  :-D
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

wallets weren't made to hold money...they're made for ID's, family pictures, phone #'s, condoms...and such. 8-)
you can't go wrong with OEM cranks.

The experience in our shop is they last 1/2 or less (Usually less) then the factory cranks.

When I take it to get balanced, should I take the flywheel and flywheel weight as well?  Should it be balanced as an assembly?  Thanks.
