Painting Brake Calipers
« on: December 28, 2004, 12:00:08 PM »
My calipers look alittle rough. The anadized color is dull and most has been worn off with age. I noticed that auto part stores carry caliper paint for auto's. Has anybody tried to paint your dirt bike calipers :?: What can I use to remove the anadized color :?: The calipers would look good if I could just remove the anadized. Thanks

Try and find a local "plater" and have them stripped.
You will have to remove all, or and steel, and plastic on them if any.
You can polish them out, or have them re-anodized.
Or polish, and have anodized for a shiny finish.
I have it done all the time to other parts, like the silincer in my bike picks.

Or you can bead/sand blast them to remove the ano.
But having the plater strip them is the eastie way.

Good luck!!!

O!
Paint will hold in heat!!!!!
