Buick will still be around.   I have $1200 in that car. And that was the parts to fix it and new tires.
Was given to me. And only has 65,000 miles on it.

Ugh this sucks.  Everything my family likes to do is reliant on having a truck or tow vehicle. And now with little ones it has to seat 4  which is the big issue. Rules out allot of cheap trucks I'd buy. (Smog exempt BBC trucks to be exact)

Didnt they do the quad cab c3500 in 73 , re-vin the cab on a 91 whos to know? I've given up on fast in the camp wagon department, quadrajet 350 sm465 np 205 3/4 ton dana44 & corp 14. For me it came down to ease of what I have $$$ & parts availability. I have a blazer"K5"  but I want a quad cab sub to cut down & re home my running gear. It really seems for me I'm getting pointed in the recycle direction my fast car is a salvaged northstar motor with a quad4 trans in a mg midget, weird but the  recycle crap just keeps falling out of the sky. The camp wagon is new motor 77,000 mile gear humvee cheap ass tires & runflats. Tree hugger conundrum do you still love 2 smoke? How far would the extra cash take you adventuring if you went where you're thinking. The love leads to freedom not debt
if I only had a pair, I could actually ride this thing

Well that's good and bad....
Bummer
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

This has gone on for so long you could have built your own by now!

But really, would that be an option?  Maybe putting a modern engine in an old 4 door?
