More info on that truck

It's not a Cummins conversion.

It's a 73 ford body set on a 1989 dodge d250 chassis
So everything under the body is stock 1st gen dodge.

The bed was a long bed and was shortened to fit. Is now approx 5.8' long

And it's 2wd

Has rear air bags for towing even though he never has with it yet

Not sure how I feel about the 1st gen chassis

alex.   id love your oppinion on this thing.  since you own a 89 ..

if it was 4x4 id be ripping my pocket to go buy it.    trying to tell myself I can live without 4x4.

not sure how hard it is to convert the 1st GEN dodge D250 to 4x4????

SWEET!  You can do a 4x4 conversion really easy if u wanted.  All the right stuff is there.  Since he used the 89 chassis it is not all hacked.  I would do an intercooler and and a few tweeks and run the crapp out of it.

Hmm. I have a 5 speed manual nv4500 that  would fit it ion my garage floor. And could come up with 4x4 stuff in a week.  Hmmm

4x4 conversion isn't as easy as I thought.

but not unreasonable

would need a doner truck to make it feasible

contacted the guy.  we shall see how flexible he is.  and if I can scratch up the cash

Or, get the shovel and head into the desert to retrieve your private reserve...
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

That is a nice looking truck. The engine is reliable as hell until you start squeezing 350hp out of stock injectors with no intercooler.

As far as 4 wheel conversion I'd get a solid front axle in good shape and a divorced transfer case. Cut the IFS off it and weld in some spring buckets or go the leaf spring route and not worry about link bars and coil springs. Dodge frames are pretty solid. The bodys rot off pretty fast though. I'd have to see it in person to justify that kind of coin though.
It's hard to keep a drivers license riding a 2 stroke dirt bike on the street.  If you drive within the law they are VERY boring.

These old trucks are really cool.  One thing that always bothered me is how easy they'd be too steal though.

Edit: Probably not a typo since $4,400 would be on the cheap side.

Not a typo......truck is clean and has lots of custom body and interior work.......I disagree that it is 44k clean but people these days think all their crap is worth millions of dollars.

If you wanted to steel my 1967 fj40.   You would give up.

Pedal lock
Tranny lock
Cable the steering wheel
Ignition switch cutout
And hidden fuel pump cut.  So if you o manage to get through the first 4.  It runs out of gas in a block
