stuck trying to rebuild engine.

OK so I'm rebuilding my entire bike and I'm stuck trying to get my engine back together but you guys always come thru! So I'm just trying to get the engine back together and there's a 12mm nut the holds my stator to my crank....I can't get it back on. I stripped the first nut, ordered an OEM one and now this one doesn't want to go on. The threads on my crank do not look stripped wtf is going on??

Your threads may have a burr or may be slightly smutched....
If you have the correct die you can chase the threads.

Yeah thanks sand, I took a close look and it does look like the threads are barely smudged. Well I guess I'll be getting a 12mm die but I wonder what the thread spacing is. I check OEM and it doesn't say, Idk if its .75 1 1.25 1.50 1.75 or what.  :-(  hope I don't end up having to split the case and putting a crank in .

On the bright side my frame has a fresh powdercoat on it  :mrgreen:

I totally understand sand I work lots of hours and have a baby boy and appreciate all the help you've ever given me. Some on you guys help us out more than you realize I think. I've saved lots of time and money because of the guy's on here.

a thread file is your friend.    much safer to use than running a die over it.

Its too late lol I stripped my crank threads so I'm probably going to be buying a whole new crank assembly now.  :cry:   now the question is....should I stroke it?? Haha
