You should get a klx remote petcock set up,  it is pretty flush under the tank and the petcock mounts on the frame, but you could put it wherever it works.  It would keep from hitting the head.

Hey alward.
Looks like the remote idea would work on my 07.
I'll play with the stock one tomorrow and then make a decision on how to do mine..
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Brooksie, yes im having issues with the exhaust system, muffler is freshly packed butdoes not correctly mate with exhaust pipe so it blows exhaust through the union. Still waiting on AJ @sh to get some pipes in stock then problem will be fixed. Good idea with the petcock, gonna try that!

i made my modded cr500 pipe 10mm longer on the rear end for the correct pipe and muffler fitting and i use the stock cr500 exhaust seal between pipe and muffler...  perfect and no problems.  :-D

... you dont need a new pipe, you need a little bit work on yours, to eliminate this little problem...

I have been in touch with AJ wagoner from service honda, no dice on the pipes yet  :? The converted cr500 pipe isn't working so well for me. At this point this is the only thing my bike needs to be perfect "in my eyes"

Changing intake to 1999 kx250 intake because it does not have the wings that go into the reedblock and it looks like they are similar hight and angle
