Besides all the normal things to look for, the two things I have found is the threaded area of the gas cap tend to crack and leak.
Take the cap off and carefully inspect for cracks as they can be really hard to spot.
The other problem is bent forks.
It's not always obvious.
I look for some small bumps on the front of the fork tubes.
Just inspect the chrome very carefully and look for ANYTHING that seems abnormal.
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

I can't stress this enough, find out if it has the a stock or aftermarket forged piston. The factory cast pistons will come apart without warning. It doesn't matter if it has one hour or 50 hours on it. They let go with no other reason other than a poor design that never was corrected even in the replacement cast pistons. The only readily available safe option is a Wiseco forged piston.

Just plan on replacing the piston if he doesn't know if you end up buying it. Pull the top end to see what you have in there before running the engine any more. If it already has a Wiseco when you get it apart, well, at least you have the peace of mind it won't grenade on you and you know what condition the top end is in. The price of a few gaskets and a little bit of your time is better than a grenaded piston that takes out the top and bottom ends!

Not so...Wossner has 3 sizes readily available for the 220...and they're a far superior product than Wiseco.

Is that a forged or cast piston? If cast, I wouldn't run it in a 220 for nothing! If forged, then that will work. However, I have never had a problem running a Wiseco in anything from dirt bikes to BB Mopar drag cars.

All you had to do,was open the link I posted....and the answer to your question, will be staring right back at you,in black and white.

Here's another/different link from the previous one I posted....run your cursor over the pic and it will turn.

No need to get snarky. I did open the link. There was nothing stating whether it was a forged or cast and, no, I didn't look at the pics. Pics a lot of times are just stock pics and not of the actual application part.

I'm not tryin to bust your balls by any means, but I also don't want to be looked at as a liar either :-D...but on my computer, when I open that link, the very 1st thing I see staring me in the face are the words "Manufactuer Of Forged Pistons"...dead center at the top...to the left side is the Wossner logo.
Is it just me,or is my computer just that more advanced over SS109s...can anyone else see the headline that states "Manufactuer Of Forged Pistons" at the top of the page when you open this link?

When I get outa work I'll post up a pic of what my computer shows when I open it....maybe your computer is'nt for some reason.

Thank you both for the information, I have a couple of KDX200s now so I was interested in the piston facts. Looks like the pricing is real close to the same, and with both being forged,,, its 6s for me.
