I'm 48 years old, if I need to go to jail to prove my point I will. I could use the vaca time and 3 meals and a roof too.

one town over, less than 6 mi from here and my town cops can't the county cop won't call me back, time to go for a ride.

also put an ad in the local classifieds, craigslist etc that the bike was stolen, and from where. you'd be suprised who will rat out who.
I put reward posters at every gas station and nailed them on nearly every tree within a 20 mile radius of my house.
No Squealers!

My posters read:  $500.00 for the return or info on the bike.
$1000.00 for the bike and the thief.( no questions asked ).

Found Found Found

It's been found, It's a lot rougher than it was though. I can't say alot about it right now publicly. But we got a good paper/drug trail on who's involved. And if you do me wrong I'm the biggest
a-hole you want to meet, guess it's time to meet them.  :-o :-)

Thanks to CJ and all others that helped look for this M/C

That's good news!!...not too often you get lucky enough to recover a stolen bike.
I had an 88 KX250 stolen from me in 91,I was devastated....to this day it still furiates me to know that someone stole,molested...and raped my baby, that I had owned since new.I was not lucky enough to get it back....but I'd still hurt whoever took it badly to this day,if I ever found out who it was.
Excuse me, ma'am...but you've got extremely nice legs!!!...what time do they open???                                                                                                               https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8tCgN3aryQ

If it is insured sometimes it is better to not get it back rather then get it back all hosed up. My brothers very nice 1957 Chev was stolen many years ago. He got it back, but not before the kids that took it went stump jumping with it. He got it back, bent A arms, front fenders and all. This was long enough ago so they were the ‘beaters’ of the era, only liability insurance, so all he got was a pile of used parts from the kid that took it to replace the bent items. Sucked.

My year old Honda Interceptor was stolen twice out of my carport, but was found up the street on its side the first time. After the idiots tore the three wires out of the ignition switch ($75) and still could not start it they just dumped it. Snapped off the head lock too. Jerks. Second time it was further away, but still just an ignition switch replacement. Still pisses me off.

My experience with the insurance company is that they all do it differently, even within the same company as it depends on where they are located.
Best thing to do is call and ask them nicely.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't...

How did the ins company end up with the bike ? Did'nt the police confiscate and impound the bike or are the police not involved ?
