I was asked to post some pics of this awhile back, its been a really slow build like 3+ years to this point. But this is my other project anyway. I work assembling motors in a machine shop & was able to snag the std bore tall deck truck/marine block, that had been sitting for years, to make 535ci possible.
This has a 4340 forged 4.5" stroke eagle crank & 6.660 eagle h beam rods with arp 2000 bolts, mahle power pak forged pistons 1.270 c.h., the low friction rings, there is a new USA made heavy duty flexplate, new arp main bolts, new acl h series rod & main bearings, show a stock dampner but I have an ATI balanced to it as well just not sure if I'll use it.
The seasoned block has been deburred, stroker clearanced but it may require additional clearance, block filled to the bottom of the water pump holes, eyebrowed at the tops of the cylinders for improved flow & clearance for larger valves, stainless freeze plugs were also installed before it was block filled, it has been line honed with the new arp main studs installed, the cam thrust has an oil feed drilled to keep cam thrust wear to a minimum, the lifter valley has some oil control modification as well.
I also have a cherry set of used dart pro 1 310cc aluminum heads for it. Should make in the 700-750 ft lb & hp with the right cam. Still years to go on the $$$ end of things for the rest a the crap. Just did the balance a couple weeks back, lot'a stroke to get smoothed out
Anybody else building something cool?
